Yorumlar:
- boring video
- I'm so proud to be Korean. :)
- Read & comprehend! You're not grasping what I'm saying: The Koreans shouldn't see it as anything other than the ironic joke it's intended to be, because if you want to get technical, they see first-hand the white people and how badly they are portrayed on the show. I don't see how one scene of a "Korean Slaves" joke could possibly be worse than the VERY dumb white people of Springfield depicted in EVERY FREAKIN' EPISODE. And The Simpsons' target audience is adults. Get your facts straight.
- oh man..*sigh* you are pretty much wrong in everything you said here. you apparently don't get the whole issue of asian stereotyping in american media behind this. there is a clear difference between having a sense of humor and being a soft idiot who gets pushed around and can't stand up for oneself - the latter is Nelson Shin and you.
- here's why this is no humor. fat, lazy, ignorant Homer of a small remote town in the middle of nowhere America is quite common and true to a certain extent, and the humor here is generalizing and stereotyping this somewhat true characters of a typical american, whereas what is the humor of depicting asians as slaves? it's plain derogatoriness. did u even watch the video? why do u think the interviewer(and she's white)even asked Shin the question in the first place? look how she's perplexed at him
