- It was the voice of Selena. You see, the Quintanilla family, wanted the movie to truly represent who Selena genuinely was. So why would they use Jennifer Lopez' voice?? They had her lip sync. In this part of the movie, they just used another version of Selena singing the song. I mean she sang the song so many times, and it's not like she could possibly sing it exactly the same time again and again. Also, don't forget that Jennifer Lopez has a different vocal style.
